National Fund for Municipal Workers

Covid-19

NFMW-greetings

First and most importantly, I hope you and your family are all well and healthy.

The COVID-19 pandemic has materially impacted all aspects of our daily lives – how we work and live, market reactions and governmental interventions. Considering the latest developments, the NFMW’s management has implemented additional precautionary measures that we believe are not only in the best interest of our continued operations, but also in the interest of the safety and health of our staff members.

The NFMW remains open for business, and servicing our members and employers will continue uninterrupted. We have implemented necessary and stringent protocols to ensure that exposure to the virus is kept to a minimum. These include;

  • Remote working arrangements with our staff on a rotational basis. Staff members working from home will be available on e-mail and their calls will be diverted to their cell phones. All claims documentation and monthly schedules must still be submitted to the relevant Fund Administration Officer.
  • The fund's offices will remain open from Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 16:00 pm. We do, however, request that members refrain from visiting the offices and rather make use of the following alternative mediums available to contact the fund:
    • Telephonically : NFMW Head office (012) 743 3000 or NFMW regional office (021) 816 9500

Our primary concern is to ensure that our employees, members and stakeholders are safe and remain healthy and clear of the virus. We will continue to monitor the situation closely as it evolves and put the necessary additional measures in place as the situation requires.

Please stay safe and take care.
